Warren Buffett, the second wealthiest man in the world behind Bill Gates according to Forbes magazine, has committed to donating his estimated $52 billion net worth to charity, including $30 billion to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Buffett amassed his enormous fortune from astute investments managed through the holding company Berkshire Hathaway, of which he is the largest shareholder and CEO. Here are some interesting aspects of his life:
1. He bought his first share of stock at age 11.
2. He bought a small farm at age 14 with savings from delivering newspapers.
3. He still lives in the small 3-bedroom house in Omaha, NE that he bought after he was married 50 years ago.
